The Name
Uriel
“The light of God”
Uriel means the light of God. We chose the name because light is what we hope our clothing brings out in the people who wear it: a calm assurance, a sense of being exactly right for the moment.
It also shapes how we work. Natural fabrics that breathe in the sun, colours drawn from ivory, sand and espresso, and silhouettes that feel as good at the end of the day as they did at the start.

Founder & CEO
Derrick Wiltz
Derrick Wiltz grew up in Beaumont, Texas, with a keen eye for fashion and an appreciation for the details most people miss: the fall of a trouser, the drape of a collar, the way good linen softens with time.
What drives him most is people. He loves helping others look and feel confident, and he founded Uriel Essentials so that feeling could be found in every piece, from a Saturday on the terrace to a dinner that runs late.
